Welcome to my favourite walking trails


Walking is an exercise enjoyed by many who wish to keep fit and who would rather be outdoors than in a gym. For some people walking is more suitable as an exercise due to physical limmitations.

If one reason for walking is to lose weight we are told that it is ineffective. However, if you are unable to do regular exercises it is a start and my husband and I have found it very effective. After all, you burn as many kilojoules walking a kilometer, as you do if you run a kilometer. If you run you just get there faster.

Walking is very social especially if you are able to go with a friend with like-minded intentions. As you walk listening to the birds, you slowly unwind and contemplating the way of the path or river that you are following.
