It will grow well in any soil of reasonable drainage.

An Evergreen Tree

Height Is up to 30m but on rocky slopes only to 3m.

Stem Erect the bark is smooth cream to grey or tan.

Leaves are slightly glossy and green.

Flowers Range in colour from cream through pink – deep red.

Fruit In groups of 3 and are dine glass shaped, 9-14mm long and 7-10mm wide.

Propagation Is by seed.

Aboriginal Uses: It provides many of the same uses as the River Red Gum.
A favored home for possums, birds etc. Young saplings provide a source of shafts for heavier spears, and grubs can be found in the trunk.
